DSHE
Presentation:
The Dynamics of Non-Equilibrium Systems (DSHE) team is mainly concerned with experimental systems that are said to be out of equilibrium, i.e. evolving or requiring an injection of energy to be maintained in a stationary state. The team tackles a wide variety of subjects in several fields of macroscopic physics: hydrodynamics, granular media, mechanics of deformable media, soft matter, etc. It is particularly interested in the morphogenesis, self-organization and non-linear dynamics of these out-of-equilibrium systems, while drawing on examples from life, Earth or environmental sciences.
