Multiscale dynamics in morphogenesis
Matter and Complex Systems Laboratory (MSC),
MorphoDyn team, UMR CNRS 7057, Paris, France
Member of the Infrastructure Nationale France-BioImagerie
Université Paris Cité platform since 2022
We develop original methodologies and tools for the observation, quantification and theoretical in vivo multiscale and multimodal modeling of biological processes. Our strategies form the basis for predictive understanding of the morphogenesis of living organisms under normal and pathological conditions, and pave the way for new types of pharmacological and toxicological screening programs.
In this context, we carry out the following missions:
- anticipate the needs of integrative cell biology and developmental biology in terms of methods and tools
- offer collaborative services through an innovative multi-level imaging, image processing and modeling platform
- foster the growth of a trans-disciplinary community through the e-Laboratory Embryome-DC in the context of complex systems UNESCO UNITWIN Complex Systems-DC

Bubble entrapment by drop impact
Only under certain conditions does a drop falling onto a bath entrap an air bubble. We propose a phenomenological law that describes these bubbling conditions in terms of Froude, Weber, and capillary numbers.Figure. Superimposed images of a drop and the cavity it...
18-month post-doctoral fellowship on pulmonary surfactant
Structure and rheology of pulmonary surfactantResearch The INHALE project, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), seeks to investigate the viability of surfactant replacement therapy in adults afflicted with respiratory disorders. Pulmonary surfactant is...
M2/Thesis 2023-2024 internship proposal
Nuclear mechanics as a diagnostic and therapeutic target for glioblastoma Glioblastomas (GBMs) are the most lethal primary brain tumours. The absence of effective therapies is mainly due to tumour invasion and to the resistance of invading cells to treatments such as...
